Being a citizen of New Zealand is something I wake up every day, and I’m grateful for. New Zealand is not like any other country of the world, this country is exceptional! I can say this because I’ve lived in a country where it was tough to just live a normal life even as a citizen.

As a citizen, I’ve got access to first-class healthcare care, and the unbelievable part of this is that it is free! I’ve had surgeries here and didn’t have to pay a single cent!

My children go to good schools, and education is free! Not only that, but they get free lunch at school, too! Wow!

I’m on the road at midnight, driving without worrying about armed robbers!

Emergency lines actually work! I’ve used it a couple of times to save the lives of members of the public.

I could go on and on… Being a New Zealand citizen, however, is nothing compared to being a citizen of Heaven. Yes! I can tell you this because I am one. The blessings that come with accepting Jesus into your life as your Lord and Saviour is out of this world!

You enjoy so much peace even in this chaotic world, you have joy when others are sad, you enjoy good health and healing that money cannot buy, you understand your purpose for being here, you have insight into things that ordinary people do not have…. All of these and more because you are a child of God, a citizen of Heaven.

This is what Jesus came to give us, a direct relationship with God, we no longer have to burn incense, worship objects or men to have access to Him. This is what Easter really is all about, the death and resurrection of Jesus to forgive us from all the wrongs we’ve ever done and to give us the power not to sin again. Ultimately, to secure our life after death.

Yes, there is life after death. What’s the point of any enjoyment you have on earth and end up suffering after you leave this earth? Or why suffer here and suffer again after death?

Becoming a New Zealand citizen took me six years; becoming a citizen of Heaven will take you only a few seconds as long as you are genuine about it.

Say this prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jesus to die for me. I am sorry for my sins and I believe that I need Jesus to save me from my sins. I accept Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of my life. I choose to live and serve Jesus all the days of my life. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
