When my husband and I were planning our wedding, I really desired a honeymoon trip to a really nice resort.

As a single lady, I had fantasised about some dream destinations but the reality before me was that neither I nor my husband could afford it. I wasn’t happy about our situation but one thing my husband promised me was that when we mark our 10 years wedding anniversary, he would take me to Singapore and show me around as he had lived there before. This statement gave me hope, something to look forward too.

Fast forward to 10 years later, he fulfilled his promise and didn’t only take me to Singapore 🇸🇬 but also to my dream destination Maldives 🇲🇻! We had a swell time and made memories there.

Why have I shared this?

Ladies, if you turn down a man’s proposal just because of his limited finances at the moment, you might be making a big mistake. Don’t focus so much on a man’s physical worth that you lose sight of his potential worth in the long run. Focus more on whether he has the ability and capacity to make your dreams come true.

If he loves you, loves God, willing to see you become all that you want to be while he also works on becoming a better version of himself, such a man is a keeper! It’s just a matter of time, he would take you round the world. Do not despise the days of humble beginning.
