n 2015, I was watching Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) and one of the contestants was a six year old girl who had come to perform magic.

As she did it, she got everyone glued and I was in awe! She performed it effortlessly and brilliantly to the point everyone in the audience, including the judges gave her a standing ovation. She was excellent!

If you watch BGT, you will know Simon - one of the judges. He asked her how she was able to perform such outstanding magic at such a tender age. The girl’s answer changed my perspective about parenting forever! She said that her grandmother had been teaching her how to perform magic since the age of two!

After hearing that, I said to myself ‘If a two year old can start learning magic, then I will start teaching my babies the word of God once they turn two’.

The result of this has been amazing!

This is one of the secrets to how my husband and I raise our boys intentionally.

See, we are not perfect parents, neither are our children perfect; however we keep learning on this journey of parenting.
