I visited Nigeria a while ago, and as I began packing my bags to return to New Zealand, I realised that I had gotten lots of gifts that were beyond the weight I was entitled to carry on the plane.

As I complained to my husband about it, we decided I should pay for extra luggage. It was past 10pm and I was to leave home the following morning at 6:45 in order to catch my flight, I couldn’t purchase a luggage at that time. Fortunately, my brother was around, so I asked if he had a luggage I could carry with me. He told me he did but it was a very dusty one. For me, that was great news, I didn’t mind because I desperately needed a luggage to carry my stuffs.

When he came back with it, I teased him saying that his luggage was going to New Zealand before him. In that moment, I realised that this is exactly how some people’s lives are - useful, yet unseen and seemingly abandoned! However, when necessity meets opportunity, like a dream their lives change overnight! They become the one desperately needed for that job, position, etc because they meet the criteria.

Why have I shared this? Even though your life may look to others around you like you could never amount to anything! They may even have looked down on at you because of your lack of progress despite your abilities.

It is my prayer that just like my brother’s luggage came out from dust to glory, you too would shine! Your life will no longer be obscured, you would be sort after in Jesus name. Amen.

Don’t give up, your time will come and it will come BIG with a BANG!
