You are not forgotten!!!
Yesterday while I was cleaning the church (this is where I serve), I was praising and worshipping God at the same time, then I started to talk to Him and began pouring out my heart to Him regarding some things in my life. Suddenly, the enemy reminded me of the one major thing I have been trusting God for since the beginning of the year and it dawned on me that it was taking a long time and God was yet to show up in my situation. I thought about this for some seconds and my he art sank! I found myself asking God why?
Then the Holy Spirit quickly reminded me of the Scripture in Is 49:15 “Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore? But even if mothers forget, I’d never forget you – never!” (MSG). This was absolutely encouraging and I knew it was the devil trying to change my focus from worshipping God, so I ignored him and continued singing and dancing because God is not a liar, I am not forgotten!!! Amen!
See, it is so easy to have your thoughts consumed by the one thing God is yet to do for you that you do not remember the many things He has done for you in times past and you also take for granted the many things He is still doing for you, for example, the fact that you have life, you are able to breathe in oxygen free of charge and not having to pay for it is more than enough to be grateful for because some people are paying for the air they are breathing! His constant protection and deliverance is also amazing!
You may be complaining bitterly about a problem child you have and praying for God to change the heart of that child, on the other hand, someone else is praying seriously to God for the fruit of the womb; while another is praying to be at least married and be like you! You may be trusting God for a life partner, another person is praying for your kind of job! You may be in the university praying to God to graduate successfully, someone else is praying just to gain admission, some even have admission but their single prayer point is financial breakthrough to be able to pay the fees! This is LIFE! Thank God for your season!
Change your focus today by thanking God for all He has done, all He will do because this season will not last forever, don’t let the enemy make you feel sad, oppressed and depressed because of that need in your life. You serve a miracle working God who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you can ever ask or think!!! Next time you are reminded of that need in your life, tell the devil, God has not forgotten me! Rejoice instead and see the manifestation of God in your life!
You will testify in Jesus name! Amen.
