During my quiet time today, I read the book of Matthew 26:36-45.

However this verse caught my attention: “And he said to them, “My heart is overwhelmed and crushed with grief. It feels as though I’m dying. Stay here and keep watch with me.” Matthew 26:38 TPT.

I was reminded that our Lord also felt overwhelmed at some point in his life. He needed his besties by his side. He needed all their support but got nothing from them unfortunately. Not because they didn’t want to, but they were physically exhausted. Sadly, they were not present when he needed them the most.

The good thing about this story was that in the next verse we were told that Jesus cried out to God and an angel of God came to strengthen him.

Are you feeling overwhelmed just like Jesus did?

Are you in a dark space currently and it seems there’s no glimmer of hope?

Are you in so much pain and grief that you think life is no more worth living?

Whatever tribulation you may be going through, I want to encourage you to find a place of solitude just like Jesus did.

Pour your heart out to God and let Him know exactly how you feel. I assure you that He will give you the strength, comfort, peace, healing and victory that you need.

Jesus was later glorified after his suffering.

You too will come out stronger than ever in Jesus name 🙏.
